Blessed be the Risen Lord!
The Lord be with you!
As we pray this Thursday morning of Easter Week, let us give thanks for the glory and hope of the Resurrection. That the Risen Christ will strengthen each one of us in mind, body and spirit.
Let us pray in the words of Jesus, “Do not be afraid!”
“Peace be with you!” This greeting of Jesus we hear much in his post-Resurrection appearances to his disciples. And, for us, at this time, it is this peace of the Lord that we possess within if we but allow the Spirit of Christ to penetrate our fears and anxieties. In the words of the bumper sticker, “Let go and let God.”
In our readings today, we hear of faith in the name of Jesus as a healing power and of the long line of ancestors who believed in the power of God. And, that if we recognize the Lord, we become witnesses to His mana.
Scripture:
” . . . by faith in his name, his name has made strong.
In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Acts 3)
“O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth.” (Psalm 8)
” . . . how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of the bread. You are witnesses . . . ” (Luke 24)
May Almighty God bless you, + In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
