THE ROLE OF MINISTRY IN OUR CHURCH

Ministry is the use of a person’s gifts and talents, time and energy, in service to others. It involves the exercise of roles, designated by the Church, to fulfill its mission in different works of service, such as worship, teaching, leadership, the sacraments, welfare, and stewardship. The Ministries fall into five broader categories of: 1) Worship/Liturgy, 2) Faith Formation, Education and Preparation for Sacraments, 3) Social Ministry, 4) Parish Support and 5) Stewardship

St. Damien Catholic Parish, made up of the Churches of St. Damien of Molokai, Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Joseph, has many active ministries and welcomes all members to become involved.

There are 4 Broad Categories that the ministries are divided up into: 1) Worship/Liturgy, 2) Faith Formation 3) Social Ministry and 4) Stewardship
