Aloha nui to all ohana’s and may the peace of Jesus Christ our Lord be with each and every one of you!
On this Saturday of the 4th Week of Easter, we remain hunkered down, like the disciples in the Upper Room, praying and awaiting the sending of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
It is still fear, doubt and disbelief we hear in many of the post-Resurrection Gospels. And, Jesus has to dispel these. And, He does! To the point of spreading the Good News to all the nations!
As our places of worship remain closed to the public through May 31, we look forward to, as the disciples in the Upper Room, celebrating the Good News together at some point down the road, even though it may involve social distancing for the sake of health safety, especially for our kupuna. We know that despite the fears, doubts, and unknowns that the future holds, we have the words of Jesus, “I am the way and the truth and the life!”
Pray for our church and civic leaders, that their directives are for the good of the people.
Scripture:
” . . . and the word of the Lord continued to spread . . . The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 13)
“All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.” (Psalm 98)
“If you know me, then you will also know my Father. Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. I am in the Father and the Father is in me. The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and I will do greater ones than these. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.” (John 14)
Blessings, pono and much pule!
