Peace be with you!

This is the soothing message Jesus has for us today!

Not only peace, but also perseverance and making known the glory that is God and the peace that comes from experiencing that glory.

The martyrs experienced that glory, that peace!

Yesterday we remembered Father Damien as a martyr. Today, we remember three more martyrs, one of whom was only 14 years old. Their names are Nereus, Achileus and Pancras. Pancras was the youngest, at just 14 years of age, giving his life for his faith. What an example to us of knowing the peace of the Lord in our lives, enough to be willing to die for our faith. Amen! Alleluia!

Scripture:

“Persevere in the faith. It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.” (Acts 14)

“Your friends make known, O Lord, the glorious splendor of your kingdom.” (Psalm 145)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (John 14)
