Aloha nui to all on this 13th day of May, 2020!

Today, we celebrate Our Lady of Fatima and the apparition of the Blessed Mother to the three shepherd children in Portugal: Lucia Dos Santos and her two cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto.

As millions stay home and the Fatima shrine in Portugal is practically deserted, we still remember this miracle and the encouraging words of Mother Mary to these three children, words of consecration, repentance and prayer. And, we lift up to the Lord the graces bestowed upon all who pray the rosary throughout the world, as instructed by our Blessed Mother at Fatima!

In today’s Scriptures, we have witnesses to the generosity of God and their rejoicing and giving thanks. We also have the words of Jesus who says, “I am the vine, you are the branches” referring to the life-giving presence of the Lord which produces much fruit for those who remain in the Lord.

May the blessing and peace of Almighty God be with you and your ohana today, + In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Alleluia!

Scripture:

“They were sent on their journey by the Church, and brought great joy to all the brethren, and they reported what God had done with them.” (Acts 15)

“Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord . . . to give thanks to the name of the Lord.” (Psalm 122)

“Everyone that does bear fruit my Father prunes so that they bear more fruit. Remain in me as I remain in you. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.” (John 15)

Blessings, pono and pule!
