‘Aha-‘ino: Land divisions, gulch & peak; East Molokai; meaning: unpleasant assembly
‘Ai-kanaka: An ancient name for Pu-ko’o harbor where inhabitants were washed into the ocean by a Kona storm and eaten by sharks. Pandanus groves here produced fine fruit; South Molokai; meaning: man-eating
‘Ai-ko’olua: Gulch; South Molokai; meaning: eat together (of two)
‘Akahi: Hill (1,538 feet high); East Molokai; meaning: one
‘Alae: Peak (2,000 feet high) above Kalaupapa peninsula; North Molokai; meaning: mudhen
