Aloha nui to all on this Thursday of the last week of Easter! May God bless you as we prepare to reopen our churches on June 2.

It is a time of change in our lives. Yet, it is also a time of greater caring for one another in whatever ways we can. It is a big dose of survival mode. But, we adapt, not losing our care and concern for one another. It is a challenge, but we children of the Lord are resilient and hopeful people. We can do this together and with great hope for the future. All life is sacred and holy. Let us bless it with how we live our own lives, giving as best we can and with what God has gifted us with. Amen! Alleluia!

Hope is the message in today’s readings. Hope that springs from faith and love. This is the message of Jesus. It is one of faith, hope and love. It is the Kingdom of God.It is eternal life.

As we gear up to come together again as the Body of Christ, let us pray for one another in a spirit of love, that we may have the patience to adapt to this new normal for the foreseeable future.

Scripture:

“I am on trial for hope in the resurrection of the dead. Take courage.” (Acts of the Apostles 22)

“Keep me safe, O God; you are my hope. With you at my right hand I shall not be disturbed. You will show me the path to life.” (Psalm 16)

“That the world may believe that you sent me, says the Lord. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one.” (John 17)

Blessings, pono & pule!
