Aloha nui to all of our ohana’s! I pray that the Lord blesses you with peace of mind, heart & soul this 22nd week of Ordinary Time!
As our young people, teachers and parents as well return to school, let us pray for an end to the pandemic. May our Good God heal and support us as we turn to Him!
This week we celebrate one saint, St. Gregory the Great who was a Pope who helped to change the Church for the better. Let us pray for Pope Francis, that he may follow in Gregory’s footsteps as a leader of the Church.
This week is also First Friday with Benediction after mass on Friday. I am also considering saying mass on the first Saturday of each month at 7am at St. Joseph’s in Kamalo. Looking at starting in October.
Next Sunday’s Gospel speaks of the power of prayer and Christian community. There are no stronger powers in our world than prayer & community. Let us always protect and defend our right to pray and form community! Amen!
Scripture:
“If two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18)
Blessings, pono and pule!
