Aloha nui to you and your ohana! May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!
I am reminded daily of the struggles of Father Damien to minister to the faithful on Molokai, both at the leper settlement and topside. But, I know that his faith, perseverance and love was what gave him the strength to continue on, day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year! It is that same faith and love in our Lord that we also, follow in the footsteps of St. Damien of Molokai in our struggles.
In our Scriptures today, we hear about St. Paul and his companions giving witness to the mana and pono of Jesus Christ, the Risen One! Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord! For He has loved us! And, freed us from our sins! When we receive Jesus into our lives, we receive the Father in Heaven and we become witnesses to others! Amen! Alleluia!
Scripture:
“Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.” (Psalm 89)
“Jesus Christ, you are the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, you have loved us and freed us from our sins by your Blood.” (Revelation 1)
“No slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. Whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.” (John 13)
May Almighty God bless you, + In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Alleluia!
We are looking forward to reopening our churches and missions, but until then, we continue to pray and strengthen our faith by attending online masses and prayer services and visiting via FaceBook, Email & website.
Blessings, pono and pule!
