Peace be with you! Pono to all! Pule to those in need!
I want to share with you this week a Prayer for Inner Peace by an anonymous author:
Lord, please put Your peace in my heart.
I’m worried and anxious.
My mind races and obsesses.
I can’t help thinking about my problems.
And the more I think about them,
the more depressed I become.
I feel like I’m sinking down in quicksand
and can’t get out.
Calm me, Lord.
Slow me down, put Your peace in my heart.
No matter what problem I have, Lord,
You are bigger,
You are more powerful than it is.
So I bring my problem to You.
I know what I want.
I know my will.
I do not know Yours.
I do not know how You will use this problem for my salvation.
I do not know what good You will work out from this evil.
But I trust You.
I trust Your goodness and Your wisdom.
So I place myself in Your hands.
Please fill my heart with peace.

One of the most repeated phrases of the Lord is: “Peace be with you!”
Why does Jesus say this so often?
Because He knows that there will be storms in our lives that drive us to our knees. He knows that there will be fear. He knows that there will be times when we feel like we are sinking.
But, he also knows that He will always be standing by in case these things happen. He also knows that He will be available to calm the storms in our lives if we just let Him.
During these times of uncertainty and challenge, we may find ourselves wanting His help and assistance even more. Well, He is there! He is available! He says to us, “Take courage! Be not afraid! I am here!”
Scripture is full of hope and it gives us faith in times of trouble. Look at the Psalms! They are full of peaks and valleys! They are full of words of encouragement and peace! Let us hear what they say. Let us hear what the Lord has for us! Amen!
Blessings! Pono! Pule!
