Peace to all as we enter the 28th Week of Ordinary Time.

This weekend’s Gospel says that when it comes to the Kingdom of Heaven, “Many are invited but few are chosen.”

Do I want to be left out? Am I ready to accept the invitation? What do I need to do to be chosen to enter the Kingdom of Heaven? These are questions we need to ask ourselves if we aspire to reach the Kingdom. It’s not easy! But, it’s not impossible. If we keep on the road, we will get there.

We celebrate many saints this week who found a way to get there:

Wednesday: St. Callistus I, Pope & Martyr
Thursday: St. Teresa of Jesus (Teresa of Avila), Virgin & Doctor of Church
Friday: St. Hedwig, religious & St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Virgin
Saturday: St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop & Martyr

Scripture:
“The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Many are invited but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22)

Blessings, pono & pule!
